An important next step…

My summer holidays are quickly drawing to an end. At the end of the month, I am entering high school. I wonder what high school is like. What are the differences between primary school and high school? I would really like to know.
First of all, having been in elementary school for 7 years, we know everyone and everything there is to know about our little school. We know all the teachers and all its little secret nooks. We know the school like the back of our hand! High school is much bigger. There are a lot more profs and a lot more classes.
Secondly, high school has diverse students from different towns, students we do not know from our elementary years. But these are people we will get to know and with whom we will be able to discuss common interests.
Lastly, what scares me the most is what the others may think of me. I am afraid that the older students will call us the high school “babies”. I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but sometimes, we would rather not hear that opinion! I think that the only thing such name-calling would do is to make us feel less confident.
So, these are my fears about high school. I know that everything will be alright in the end. We just need a little time to get used to things!
