In 2013 we started an intensive documentation project whose goal was to bring the cemetery records up to date. This includes having a picture of each memorial stone with all information on record. The project is about 80% complete. French drains have been installed on both sides of the vault for proper drainage. A field stone wall is in the process of being built to the entrance of the vault on each side. A flag pole has been erected West of the vault and trees have been cut and trimmed. Grass cutting is on-going every two weeks.
Have you perhaps noticed that your family headstone needs straightening? Please contact our president as we have a dedicated team of volunteers who would be pleased to do the work for you at a nominal fee. Cemetery management should be contacted before ordering a monument to make sure that there is space on their lot. All monuments must be installed with a foundation. The position of the monument is subject to the approval of the cemetery management to insure that it is placed in line with the other monuments in the row. All burials including cremation urn burials are to be conducted by cemetery personnel or their designated contractors. Personal information about the deceased should be provided to the cemetery Secretary so that our records can be maintained accurately for historical research. And as a reminder to purchase corner markers to mark your Family lot. Please contact the president to learn about the special price for purchase and installation.
Keeping a cemetery well maintained is vital as it shows that the cemetery is a going concern and the object of pride. A park-like appearance will, in turn, encourage people to keep their lots neat and tidy.
