adult borerHorizon Frêne inc.
Horizon Frêne, a division of Horizon Arboricole, is owned and operated by the father and son team of Patrick and Christian Van Winden. The business specializes in the fight against a very destructive insect, the emerald ash borer.

The emerald ash borer decimated millions of trees south of the Great Lakes and in Ontario, before making its appearance in our region in 2011. Horizon Frêne uses ecologically responsible practices in combating the insect, offering a new service of pressure injection which is directly applied into the sap of the tree and is diffused to the tree top. This product is called TreeAzin, a biopesticide accredited in Canada. The borers feeding on the foliage become sterile. The larvae which they lay onto the bark of the tree dies. This treatment has no ill effect on the environment.

Horizon Frêne also offers a diagnostic service for all types of trees with appropriate solutions for your needs.
