Les Jardins d’En Haut : On our high horses for agroecological principles !
jardins2Craving for fresh and locally produced vegetables? Jardins d’En Haut is a micro-farm on the hill which produces vegetables according to the methods of traditional agriculture.

Beginning June 20th, we invite you to satisfy your taste buds and fill up in vitamins and en- zymes at our kiosk. Every week, you’ll find lettuces, salad mixes, herbs, as well as a variety of seasonal vegetables : garlic, eggplants, beets, carrots, cabbages, onions, potatoes, mild and hot peppers, leeks and tomatoes. You may get also eggs from our organic fed hens, sunflower sprouts and fruits.

The kiosk at the farm will be open on Saturdays from 10am to 6pm

Aerospatiale Hemmingford Inc. has been in business in Hemmingford for 30 years, In 1985 the company started with only five employees, and gradually obtained more and more profitable contracts in the field of machine-tooling and the assembly of parts for the aerospace industry. They specialized, among other products, in fuel tank adapters for the PT6 engine which for more than 50 years has been propelling aeroplanes such as corporate jets and water-bomber aircraft. The company also manufactures drain valves which are used for the internal pressure control of engines. As more and more contracts were won, more employees joined the company and the company grew. Even at more difficult
times, for example, at the sudden death of their director in 1998, the company was able to rely on the dedication and cooperative spirit of its employees, to win and honor further contracts. Today, the manager- employee collaboration still continues and Aerospatiale Hemmingford Inc. now has 90 employees who originate in this region, almost a quarter of whom are Hemmingford residents. With its cutting-edge expertise in the production of parts and assembly of valves, Aerospatiale Hemmingford Inc. has a leadership reputation in innovation in its field. The company, which is mainly a Pratt & Whitney sub-contractor, recently won a prize for production management. It was also the first United Technologies supplier in Quebec to obtain the Gold Supplier status for quality and prompt delivery. This title has been awarded to Aerospatiale Hemmingford Inc. for five consecutive years.

The VIP Hairdressing Salon has been in business since 2013. The owner of the salon, Mélanie Duteau, has 20 years of experience in hairdressing, and decided to open her own hairdressing studio and receive her clients in her home. Mélanie is available by appointment only, offering a variety of services, such as cut, set, coloring or permanent, and uses exclusively products made by Redken whose coloring products contain oil and are free of ammonia. For weddings, graduations or photo sessions special hairstyles can also be created.
