LADIES AND GENTLEMEN

OF HEMMINGFORD

You are cordially invited to attend a first meeting on the subject of the Development of Tourism

This invitation is addressed to business people and organizations concerned with the economic development of our community. For the past several years in the municipalities of Havelock, Hemmingford and St. Bernard de Lacolle there has been an increase in tourist attractions including cultural events, recreational outdoor activities as well as agro-tourism. All levels of our communities benefit from the economic spin-offs of this sector of activity, especially various local businesses which in their turn contribute to the preservation and creation of jobs.

At the request of several businesses, the CCHDD is organizing a first meeting of people from the public, private and community sector of the three municipalities referred to above. The aim of this meeting is to create a synergy between interested participants and to explore the possibility of setting up a “Committee for the Promotion of Tourism”. This Committee would define its own role, objectives and action to take.

Several excellent promotional aids already exist; however they do apply to very extensive areas.

What can we do to focus the attention of tourists on all that we have to offer in our small corner of the country?

Join us and express your opinions.
