People who know Christian Van Winden, the owner of Horizon Arboricole, describe him as a man who is passionate about trees. In 1999 he took a course in the cultivation, pruning and care of trees, and has made this his principal occupation. He also does wood carving and has built himself a log house following Scandinavian techniques.

Horizon Arboricole’s main mission since 2005 has been to give trees the appropriate care to promote their good health and long life. It is, nevertheless, sometimes necessary to cut down a tree which is dead or dangerous.
