Hemmingford Sport and Country Club
The Hemmingford Sport and Country Club came into being in 1965, thanks to the vision of a group of local citizens. With a nine-hole course, it immediately became popular, and this non-profit organisation was soon able to expand. Today there are two 18-hole courses as well as an excellent practice green. The services it offers are many and include a spacious terrace, a boutique, lessons given by an on-staff Pro, showers, cloakrooms, restaurant, reception area, tournaments, and more.
Two local leagues, one for men and one for ladies, organize weekly golf tournaments which encourage participants to keep fit and also enjoy an active social life.
This organization has contributed to the growth of the local economy by enabling golfers from other regions to discover Hemmingford and by offering full-time and seasonal jobs.
